Technically, this is a Bird 150-T-FN dummy load that I bought on eBay. In reality it’s a large block of anodized aluminum on account of some dummy tried stuffing a kilowatt into it.
I have not the energy to attempt a repair, so it is now officially just a heat sink. Known to dissipate up to 150 watts. You could try replacing the resistor, or just remove the mounting block and do what you will with it.
Measured 27 x 15 x 7 cm, and weighs in at a chunky 2.66 kg! It can be screw mounted to a base plate, and there are two threaded studs on top that I suspect are intended for a fan mount.
As with the bug I recently sold, can also be used for defence against raccoons.
