Victoria
Victoria, BC, the capital city of British Columbia, Canada, is situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island and has a population of 91,867 according to the 2021 census. The Greater Victoria area, also known as the Greater Victoria Region, includes the thirteen municipalities of the Capital Regional District (CRD) on Vancouver Island, as well as some adjacent areas and nearby islands.
Ham radio, or amateur radio, is a popular activity in the Victoria area, with several clubs and organizations dedicated to this hobby. The Westcoast Amateur Radio Association (WARA), based in Victoria, is actively involved in public service activities, providing communication logistics for various events.
