name: Southern Alberta Amateur Radio Club

The Southern Alberta Amateur Radio Club has been continuously operating since 1932.  It is a very active club with over 40 members.  Meetings are held the second Friday of every month at 8:00PM local time on Zoom.  The club has an active repeater VE6CAM on 146.88 -600 that is located about 50 km north of the city of Lethbridge AB and it is off grid and solar powered.  The club holds Basic courses every October for 12-15 weeks and has had huge success in putting many new hams on the air.  We participate in field day every year and have an annual corn roast during the summer.  A weekly newsletter is provided to all members and non members who want to be on our list.  The newsletter contains information about events and technical articles written by some of the members of the club.  If someone wants to be included on the weekly mailing list, send a note to Tom VE6ARG at ve6arg@shaw.ca.
