If you’re located in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and looking to achieve your Basic with Honours amateur radio certification, Gary offers a personalized, highly-successful training solution tailored for adults. Based in South Langley, he provides small group and one-on-one in-person courses designed to help students confidently pass their Basic exam (with honours).

🎓 Certified, Experienced Instruction

Gary is an Advanced Amateur Radio Operator, a formally trained adult educator, and has more than 40 years of experience teaching electronics and amateur radio. His approach focuses on preparing adults for success with the Basic exam, whether through structured group sessions or private tutoring options.

🧭 Course Format

• Held monthly in South Langley
• Two consecutive Friday evenings + two consecutive Saturdays
• Includes ≈10 hours of self-paced home study between weekends
• Exam administered on the final Saturday afternoon with same-day certification

Class sizes are intentionally limited (1–4 students) to ensure high instructor engagement and personalized support. All learning materials are provided.

• In-person exams available in South Langley by appointment
• Remote exams via MS Teams available for students in BC, Alberta, Yukon, and the Territories
• Accredited ISED examiner providing a secure, supportive environment

Note: Courses are delivered in person for maximum clarity and focus — online courses are not offered.
