The SPE Expert 2K-FA is a powerful, fully automatic, solid-state linear amplifier for amateur radio, covering the 1.8-50 MHz bands with up to 2 KW output. It features dual CPUs, automatic band/antenna switching via transceiver CAT control, an automatic antenna tuner capable of matching up to 3:1 SWR, and a switching power supply with PFC. Key characteristics include its “instant on” operation, wide frequency range, multiple antenna and transceiver inputs, and advanced software for enhanced performance and protection. This amplifier was purchased new three years ago and is currently paired with the ICOM 7851 transceiver. It requires a 240 volt power connection and can be controlled remotely over the internet with serial to internet control equipment. Currently using the “RemoteRig 1216H” for this function.
