📢 Service Notice – Email Notification Issue (Dec 21–22)
Between December 21, 22 and 24th, Hamshack.ca experienced a temporary email notification issue that caused some system-generated emails to be sent in error.
The issue was identified and resolved, and no user data, listings, or accounts were compromised. This was a system automation problem — not a security breach.
What happened

A system email notification process behaved unexpectedly during routine maintenance and testing.

This resulted in a number of unintended outgoing emails.
What’s been done

The affected email logic has been fully disabled and removed.

All pending emails were cleared.

System behavior has been verified and is operating normally.
Temporary change
As a precaution, the New Listing Notification email has been temporarily disabled while final validation is completed. This feature will be restored once testing is finalized.
What users need to do

No action is required.

Listings, messages, and site functionality are working as normal.
