The Watkins-Johnson Model 977-4 receiver is a re-branded CEI Type 977 produced by WJ shortly after they purchased CEI. It’s designed for reception of AM, FM, CW and pulse signals in the range of 30-300 MHz in two bands. The 977-4 has 3 IF bandwidths (40, 300 and 3000 KHz). I used it for several years as the demodulator for wideband FM GOES satellite reception fed by a downverter. It’s in excellent condition and performs like new with one exception: the tuning meter (0 Center) is not functioning. I can’t recall if the problem is the meter itself or if it was a circuit problem. Pursuing repair was not important to me at the time as I used the receiver with a CEI spectrum monitor scope which provided the center tuning function. (I am also listing the CEI SM Scope for sale separately and will consider offers for the Receiver and SM purchased together.

I am currently planning on attending the Hamilton ARC Hamfest on Saturday, September 27 at the Ancaster Fair Grounds and could arrange to meet / deliver the item there.
