VA6EPO call abuse
I was contacted via text regarding an amplifier listing after several exchanges I had concerns and asked for proof of an Amateur Radio License. Immediately one was provided it was a photo of VA6EPO's license, I still had concerns as some parts of the conversation were not accurate. I followed up directly with the holder of the license by telephone and found he was not buying selling or planning to buy or sell on Hamshack.ca or even very active in the hobby. The person wanting to buy the amp and using VA6EPO's call and documents may be Darren Grunow that may be confirmed by the local police as this matter proceeds.
Another example of why it's important to ensure that both buyers and sellers exercise due diligence when dealing with others on-line.
