North Okanagan Radio Amateur Club

NORAC is centered in the city of Vernon in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia’s Southern Interior. With over 60 members, our amateur radio club provides volunteer communications for events throughout the region. Club members are active in every facet of the hobby. We maintain several analog and digital VHF & UHF mountain top repeaters. We also operate IRLP & Wires-X nodes, plus an APRS digipeater.

NORAC hosts a weekly net on Sundays at 10am local time on VE7RSS, a NORAC repeater located on the summit of Silver Star Mountain.  Freq. 146.880 MHz., -600 offset, FM voice, no tone.  The net is open to all amateurs both local and visitors in the area.
