Beware of Contacts with No Callsign
Thought it would be prudent to post regarding a recent exchange of communication. Maybe this is just a reminder or perhaps a word of caution from emails received here from people who have hardware for sale or want ads, in my case, a want ad. The emails started out normal, I would say a little too anxious sending additional emails, that was my first flag, then once I requested their callsign, that pretty much sealed the deal as suspect when they didnt have a callsign. The story of how they acquired the hardware seemed all too familiar and suspicious . I did stay cordial in my responses as there is always a chance they could have indeed acquired the hardware in the manner they mentioned and I was a little reluctant to post here but maybe my post may have help others ensure they are dealing with a legitimate person and ask many questions for verification. I did not include any names or email address they were using as I feel the content of my story is the real message when dealing with sales emails.
