Climbing is no longer a safe option for many hams so an aerial lift may be something to consider before strapping-on the climbing belt and heading up a tree or tower.

There’s a Sunbelt location not far from my QTH and I’ve rented a 45 ft articulating boom lift on a couple of occasions to gain access to and lop off a couple of bothersome limbs obstructing wire antenna projects. This summer I’m planning on renting another machine to perform some much needed maintenance on a rotator and 5 element yagi.  Others may want to consider doing the same as a safe alternative to climbing.
