Sydney Amateur Radio Club
Open House
Every Saturday morning we welcome members, visiting Hams or anyone with an interest in Amateur Radio to join us on Saturday mornings at the club from 10AM – 1 PM at 11 St. Bridget Street, Sydney, NS
Sydney Amateur Radio Club has been in existence for over 60+ years providing Amateurs from all over the Island a place to connect, discuss and learn. Originally the club was formed as an addition to aid in civil defence. The club was actively involved in the former EMO services and provided communications for many service clubs and organizations all over the Island. Over the years due to new advances in technology those services are not called upon as often, but our members are still equipped and ready to assist should our services be required.
We continue to be partners with Parks Canada and actively operate and oversee the radio station at the Marconi Museum in Glace Bay NS. https://parks.canada.ca/lhn-nhs/ns/marconi
