Yeasu Model G-5500 AZ/EL Satellite Rotor System

Complete with Control Box, 2 x 60 foot, 18 gauge control cables, and Fodtrack Interface

Has been out of service for about 10 years, when I replaced the roof at this QTH and removed the tripod mount that it had been mounted on. I had used it for a variety of satellite work for several years prior to removing it. If you take a look at my QRZ page, there’s a nice shot of hurricane Irene in 2011 that I captured using the rotor to steer an 11 element twist yagi. I used a homebrew interface and FODTRACK tracking software to control the rotor and am including it in the sale.

I checked the operation of the rotor when I set it up for the pictures. A bit noisy at first but after a few operations it quieted down. I think it just had to work the lubrication into the gears a bit after sitting for so long though it probably wouldn’t hurt to give it a re-lubrication.
