This vintage 10 W PEP SSB/CW 2 M transceiver transmits and receives but has noise on the transmit signal. Not sure if it is the Radio Shack hand held microphone, or something in the radio that will need to be fixed, which is reflected in the price. Not an IC-9700 but could be a very inexpensive way to get on 2 M SSB for a tech and make a great project. Could use an alignment.
Frequency is selected by a 23 channel switch and a VXO. Will operate on the low end of the 2 M band around 144.200, 145.000 and 145.700 with a frequency range selector switch in the back. Comes with the original manual.
