Collectors Radio Yeasu FT-101E
Will consider all reasonable offers.
Attention collectors. This **near mint* Yeasu FT-101E is circa 1970’s, (last lot of production) purchased by the University of Victoria in 1977 and used in their Ham radio station. The radio has undergone a low band alignment and power supply re-cap. It works well on 80, 40 and 20 meters with signal degradation on the higher higher band of 15 and 10 meters.
The FT-101E is a hibrid transceiver consisting of solid state circuitry throughout, with the exception of the tube finals. To properly tune this radio, you should have a good understanding of how to load and dip a plate and read the grid bias, so as not to generate parasitic oscillation.
The radio will be professionally packed and ready for shipment to it’s end destination, fully insured. If you are not comfortable with Canada post, I will ship via any other means you choose fit.
Included in the purchase is a standard MIC and a 500 page service manual that I compiled
