Prince George Amateur radio Club
The Prince George Amateur Radio Club is a not for profit regional society that is affiliated with Radio Amateurs of Canada. Our 19 radio repeater sites are spread across an area that encompasses about a three hour driving radius from Prince George. The many small communities in this area don’t have local clubs so we also serve their needs. Our repeater network has been used to report a plane crash, forest fires, and climbers stuck on a cliff and to direct emergency response personnel to the incident sites. Our Emergency Radio Communication Trailer was developed for public safety and public service. We work closely with Search and Rescue, Emergency Management BC and Northern Health.
