Charlottetown Amateur Radio Club (CARC)
Charlottetown Amateur Radio Club (CARC) – Connecting Prince Edward Island’s Amateur Radio Community
The Charlottetown Amateur Radio Club (CARC) is one of Prince Edward Island’s most active and welcoming ham radio organizations, dedicated to promoting amateur radio through education, fellowship, and public service. Based in the Charlottetown–Stratford area, CARC brings together operators from across the Island to share knowledge, explore technology, and stay on the air through regular meetings, on-air nets, and hands-on training.
The club operates several local repeaters, hosts weekly nets including the Saturday Virtual Breakfast 2m Net, and offers in-person licensing courses for newcomers. Members enjoy a supportive environment with opportunities to learn, experiment, and contribute to emergency communications and community events such as Field Day and the annual PEI Ham Flea Market.
Whether you’re a new operator earning your first call sign or an experienced ham settling on the Island, CARA offers an open door to a thriving radio community where everyone is welcome to key up, connect, and grow.
